El-Camino Hotel is looking for a Live-In Hotel Housekeeper and Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a live-in position, you will be living “rent free” at the hotel.
As a Housekeeper and Maintenance technician you are responsible for cleaning rooms and general maintenance of the hotel property. You should be able to clean/maintain all aspects of the common areas and guest room areas. Maintenance issues arise at all hours of the day and night so it is necessary that you be available for phone calls and emergency on site assistance at all hours.
Major Duties:
Housekeeping (2-3 hours per day): Involves making bed, removing trash, cleaning rooms and bathrooms, etc.
General maintenance (3-5 hours per day) throughout the property: painting, carpet/floor cleaning, landscaping, etc. Perform minor repairs and/or replacements of room furniture, fixtures, and equipment to include faucets, lights, televisions, etc. Clean and maintain the hotel’s exterior areas, to include parking lot, and all other aspects pertaining to the hotel’s overall landscape and curb appeal.
Requirements:
High School diploma (or GE equivalent)
2+ years hotel experience preferred
Lively, upbeat personality
Available on-call after hours
Maintain clean and neat area/room
Compensation:
Room /accommodations provided as compensation - includes bed, bathroom, furniture, utilities, and fridge (no kitchen)
Monthly stipend may be considered based on qualifications
