Description Local company seeks an experienced payroll clerk that can "hit the ground running" and assist with a complex payroll system. Must have 3+ years of experience in the field, and other/more accounting experience is preferred. This position is full time, M-F 8-5 and starting pay is in the 40k range. Must be very computer savvy, and want to work hard and grow! Apply today.We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Payroll Clerk in the healthcare and social assistance industry, based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This role entails managing a complex payroll system, utilizing various accounting software systems, and assisting with other accounting functions. Responsibilities: Utilize experience in accounting to assist with the company's payroll system Operate accounting software systems such as ADP - Financial Services, Ceridian, IBM AS/400, Kronos Timekeeping System, and About Time Perform various accounting functions and manage accounts payable (AP) Support benefit functions and check processing tasks Leverage strong computer skills to enhance efficiency in work processes Exhibit dedication to hard work and demonstrate potential for growth within the company Ensure accuracy and efficiency in processing customer credit applications Maintain accurate customer credit records Monitor customer credit accounts and take necessary action to collect overdue payments.Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Experience with ADP - Financial Services Familiarity with Ceridian software Ability to operate IBM AS/400 Knowledge of Kronos Timekeeping System Experience with About Time software Understanding of Accounting Functions Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) Familiarity with Benefit Functions Proficiency in Check Processing Healthcare, Hospitals, or Social Assistance industry experience is highly desirable Demonstrable experience as a Payroll Clerk or similar role Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills High attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll information.
