Medical Billing Specialist

Description We are searching for a skilled Medical Billing Specialist to join our healthcare team in ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico. This role involves managing patient records, navigating patient EMR, and processing relevant medical records requests. The position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Efficiently navigate patient EMR via specialized software like Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE), EHR SYSTEM, Epaces Accurately manage lab results from Tricore and Pathology Consultants Import in-house ultrasounds into patient EMR and ensure accurate record maintenance Process various Medical Records requests in a timely and efficient manner Handle a steady influx of electronic faxes and convert paper documents to electronic versions using scanning equipment Communicate effectively with various collaborating individuals and agencies Manage outgoing and interoffice mail as required Occasionally convert paper charts to EMR, ensuring accuracy and efficiency Utilize skills in Accounts Receivable (AR), Appeals, Benefit Functions, Billing Functions, Claim Administration, Data Entry for effective job performance. Requirements Proficiency in Allscripts and Cerner Technologies Experience with Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) Familiarity with EHR SYSTEM Proficiency in using Epaces Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) Knowledge and experience in Appeals Understanding and experience in Benefit Functions Experience in Billing Functions Familiarity with Claim Administration Proficient in Data Entry.
