What Your Job Will Be Like:We are seeking a Year Round - Clerical Union Undergraduate Intern to join our dynamic team! On any given day, you may be called on to:

Perform secretarial and clerical work for the Geosciences Research & Applications management and administrative team.

Work closely with administrative professionals to ensure tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner, learn best practices, and develop a comprehensive understanding of administrative functions.

Prepare various documents including correspondence, reports, charts, etc.

Originate routine correspondence, edit and format documents, and assist in process policies and procedures.

Assist with meeting preparation, including copying and collating.

Assist with special event planning.

Assist with mail distribution and mailbox upkeep.

Create databases, enter and maintain data, and respond to requests for information.

Handle telephone communications and receive visitor; ascertain nature of calls or visits; take messages or schedule appointments and meetings; and serve as an information resource to managers and staff.

Prepare/execute incoming and outgoing visits, badge request, and passing of clearances using tools including Enterprise Person Onboarding.

Procure supplies and equipment for the group and building as requested or needed, that includes ordering supplies through Just In Time (JIT) procurement.

Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, and Outlook in performing daily operations.

As a condition of employment, the selected candidate will be represented by the Office and Professional Employees International Union (OPEIU), which requires monthly membership dues or agency fees. New hires into an OPEIU represented position will remain in the initial position for twelve (12) months before being eligible to be considered for other Sandia employment.Qualifications We Require:You bring the confidence and skills to be eligible for the job by meeting these minimum requirements:

Currently attending and enrolled full time in an accredited undergraduate program

Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5/4.0

Ability to work up to 25 hours per week during the academic year, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer

U.S. citizenship
