Description Robert Half has an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk opportunity that offers a stimulating work environment with a team of highly skilled professionals. The candidate's responsibilities in this role include attending to the general needs of the AP/Finance Department, while working closely and reporting to the Accounting Manager. Matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are primary areas of focus. Located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract / temporary to hire position.What you get to do every day

Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed

Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it

Complete special projects on an as-needed basis

Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed

Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs

Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling

Conduct full-cycle A/P

Handle administrative tasks for the AP/Finance Department

Help with internal and external audits as required Requirements - Spreadsheet and database capabilities

Established communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

Prior experience in an A/P role preferred

Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)

Experience with bi-Monthly Payroll

Account reconciliation experience

Knowledge of 3 Way Matching

General ledger experience preferred
