Description Our client is seeking a part-time Paralegal (approx. 20 hours/week) to support the work of the Subcontracts Manager. The Subcontracts Manager is the primary position responsible for interacting with external parties to create and manage third-party agreements related to subcontracts and subgrantees Philanthropic Support Services, Affiliates and Senior Fellows. At this time, support is needed to help process an influx of work related to the agreement lifecycle from drafting to execution.The primary responsibilities for the Paralegal are to:
Developing initial drafts of new and extended agreements.
Work with designated staff to review, approve, and finalize new or extended agreements.
Confirms requirements and provisions of agreements meet compliance with all laws and regulations; flags items for Subcontract Manager review and/or follow up.
Assists with maintaining records for agreements, including accounting database management and electronic file management.
Assists with reviewing agreements to ensure guidelines have been met and relevant documentation has been received.
Requirements
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant.
Paralegal Certification or relevant equivalent experience, in addition to minimum years of experience noted above.
Meticulous organizational skills and a high level of initiative.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively prioritize and execute multiple tasks.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
A high degree of proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools including but not limited to: Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.
