Decision Support AnalystReq #:0000137887Category:Information Systems and ITStatus:Full-TimeShift:DayFacility:RWJBarnabas Health Corporate ServicesDepartment:Decision SupportLocation:SBC Corporation, 95 Old Short Hills Road, West Orange, NJ 07052The Decision Support Analyst of the Medical Group performs activities related to the compilation of all financial, billing, scheduling, quality and clinical information to support decision making by the management team,This position will also be responsible for analysis of compiled data for the Medical Group, utilizing benchmarks as appropriate,The Decision Support Analyst will collect and evaluate the overall data and statistical needs for the combined medical group,Job Functions:
Provides accurate and timely daily, monthly, quarterly and year end compilation of data for the Medical Group,
Provides the preparation and review of key monthly reports and dashboards and related reporting validation for the Medical Group,
Produces ad-hoc reporting of overall data and statistical needs for the combined medical group,
Development of new reports of modification of existing reports to support client needs,
Develops clear objectives and organizes the information work flow,
Presents results in an analytical manner to leadership and appropriate stakeholders,
Development of trend identification and impact analysis,
Builds and supports effective relationships with internal stakeholders and organizations,
Develops partnerships, coordinates activities, reviews work, exchanges information, and/or resolves problems as appropriately needed,
Provides assistance to management staff related to overall data and statistical needs,
Maintains strictest confidentiality
Other duties as assigned,
Education and Experience:
Bachelor s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field,
Masters Degree preferred,
One to three years experience in a similar role required,
Experience in a medical group practice or hospital,
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Extensive knowledge in data transformation and manipulation,
Knowledge of the principles of financial management and decision support,
Knowledge of Medical Group financial and budgetary practices,
Working knowledge of business intelligence and visualization tools
Ability to analyze data and patterns to validate data integrity,
Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion and decision-making to achieve organizational goals and objectives,
Skill in identifying and resolving problems, acting at times as an IT liaison,
Excellent oral/written communication skills are essential,
Ability to work independently and without direct supervision,
Consistently ensures the Medical Group acts in a high level of integrity and compliance
