Job Summary:An Industrial Mechanic builds large arrays of equipment utilizing technical drawings and power hand tools. An Industrial Mechanic will typically work on a job from start to finish.Education: High School Diploma or GED Technical certifications or related training.Essential Functions: Math skills - adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing and working with fractions. Able to read measuring devices - rulers, tape measures, squares, levels, Vernier’s and formulas. Able to read and comprehend mechanical and electrical drawings. Able to braze and MIG weld. Maintain a safe working environment for oneself and co-workers at all times. Perform general housekeeping as required. Regular in attendance and able and willing to work a reasonable amount of overtime. Willing to attend classes/training to improve basic skills and non-essential functions. Will handle miscellaneous duties as assigned.Non-Essential Functions: Able to drive an overhead crane, forklift and electric pallet truck. Able to TIG weld.Essential Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Able to see, have good perception, and distinguish between colors. Able to stand, climb, and bend for 8-10 hours. Have good strength and be able to lift up to 51 lbs. Quick hand and arm movement, or the movement of both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects. Listen to and understand information presented through spoken words and sentences. Communicate information and ideas, both written and verbally so others will understand. Have valid driver's license and able to drive an automobile. Able to travel on short notice by public transportation including (i.e.: aircrafts, trains, bus, cars) domestically and internationally.Non-Essential Physical Requirements: Must disclose any surgical implants, pins, braces or other devices that could be affected by induction fields.
