This job opening is for a talented Network Support Analyst with exceptional communication skills and well versed with Networking, Service Desk, and ITIL practices to be part of our team Network Operation Center. (NOC). Job Title: NOC Network Support Analyst Location: Newark / 2nd Shift hours (3PM to 11 PM) Identify, Validate and Notify. Respond to problems in the Network Operations Center (NOC). Monitor and troubleshoot the data communications network system. Detect and respond to infrastructure alerts, escalating to appropriate parties when necessary. Use network management tools to determine the nature of the outage and resolve problems. Service Desk & Knowledge of ITIL incident management and process flows Ability to leverage network tools (Wireshark, NetPath ) Network Monitoring (SolarWinds, Dynatrace) Troubleshooting with telco carriers, ticket tracking. (Footprints, ServiceNow) Working knowledge of routers, switches, and firewalls Interpersonal skills & Communication skills (Written, Listening, Verbal) Work Experience 2 to 3 years working with wide-area and local area networks 2 to 3 years working with network management tools Proven track record of resolving network problems. Routers, Switches, Carrier Services Experience with a trouble ticketing application (Footprints, ServiceNow) Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Comprehensive verbal and written communication skills Exceptional troubleshooting and diagnostic skills a must! Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred. Certification may be substituted for a BA/BS degree. (Network+, ITIL Foundations) A minimum of (3) to (4) years' experience in a NOC or similar support role
