Senior Director, Supply Chain Procurement - Advanced Therapies - 2406198802WDescriptionJohnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is recruiting for a Senior Director, Procurement – Advanced Therapies located in Titusville, NJ.The Advanced Therapy platform supports cell therapy, gene therapy, and radiopharmaceutical assets from clinical development thru commercialization. The Senior Director, Procurement – Advance Therapies will lead a team of Procurement professionals and will provide global direction and end-to-end leadership including strategy development, building key stakeholder relationships, external benchmarking, and managing critical supplier/partner relationships. The position must shape, connect, and lead both direct and indirect resources to deliver on key programs.Key Responsibilities:

Manage spend includes external manufacturing, direct materials, equipment, cryopreservation services, and other specific needs for Advanced Therapies

Develop and execute Procurement strategies that are aligned with the business/sector needs including sourcing strategy, negotiations, contract implementation and performance against established targets (Cost drivers, risk analysis, mitigation, analytics, applicability / of category value creation techniques)

Manage and develop supplier relationships, communicate changes to category strategy, execute joint collaborative initiatives, and monitor supplier contract negotiations.

Anticipate and mitigate risks within supplier base recognizing relative immaturity across industry supply base for advanced therapy supply chain needs

Conduct performance reviews/serve as People Manager for Subordinate Leads

Lead and manage the team, including capability building and governance.

Member of Johnson and Johnson Innovative Medicine Procurement and Advanced Therapies Supply Chain leadership teams

Key measurements of success will include meeting short and long-term goals within designated timeframes, achieving performance targets such as cost improvements, delivery/cycle time, supply volume, and minimizing out-of-specifications (OOS) incidents.QualificationsEducation:

A Bachelor of Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field is required.

Relevant masters or MBA preferred.

Experience and Skills:Required:

A minimum of 10 years of related experience is required.

A minimum of 5 years of experience as a people leader is required.

Experience with cell therapy, gene therapy, or radiopharmaceuticals (preferred)

Strong knowledge of end-to-end supply chain considerations including Quality.

Technical Operations, Finance, Planning, and/or Procurement

Strong influencing skills, with the ability to understand issues from multiple viewpoints.

Effective communication skills and the ability to escalate issues

Preferred:

Technical and/or operational experience in Cell Therapy and/or Advance Therapy programs

Experience leading successful supplier/external relationships.

Demonstrated experience creating and working with negotiated agreements.

Demonstrated ability to develop long range strategy based on delivering future needs of customers

Strong and related business acumen. Broad-based understanding of business operations and practices and core Procurement areas of focus (Spend Management: Category Management and Supplier Management).

Expertise in contracting, understanding regulatory, legal, compliance and commercial elements.

Building and maintaining strong relationships with JNJ senior Management and the supplier community

Strong leadership, vison and strategy setting, communication, influencing, collaboration, and talent development skills.

Strong project and change management capabilities.

Strong verbal and written communication skill with ability to confidently present complex information.

Ability to seek and drive continuous improvements.

Ability to prioritize requests and propose effective cost/customer service alternatives.

Judgment in developing new approaches and resolving issues.

Strong influencing skills with ability to see issues from multiple viewpoints and understand differing needs of stakeholders (e.g., business, Finance, Procurement LT, Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain); has "presence."

People management and talent development experience is required.

Proven track record in leading cross-functional teams and executing significant influencing roles.

Demonstrated flexibility and willingness to respond to changes in the external environment, while ensuring the organization can effectively and efficiently move through transitions.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $163,000 to $282,900.The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance.

Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.

Employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year

Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year

Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year of Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
