Collections Specialist

Description We are in need of a Collections Specialist to join our team based near Leonia, New Jersey. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity where you will be primarily tasked with managing customer accounts, processing payments, and conducting collection calls.Responsibilities Professionally handle a large volume of collection calls on a daily basis Review and explain invoices and account statements to customers Efficiently process credit card and ACH payments Register customers on the online portal for seamless transactions Regularly send out invoices and aging balance reports via email Provide accurate cash forecasting information for the assigned customer base Apply payments, credits, and debit memos to relevant accounts Evaluate orders, approve or reject them, and remove accounts from credit hold as necessary Design and implement payment plans when required Maintain customer account records with utmost accuracy.Requirements Proven experience as a Collections Specialist or similar role Proficient in B2B collections practices Solid understanding of billing procedures Demonstrated ability to apply cash applications High degree of accuracy and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Skilled in negotiation and problem-solving Proficient in using office software and database software Knowledge of relevant legal requirements Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good organization and multi-tasking skills Capability to meet deadlines and work under pressure Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field is preferred Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
