Description Robert Half is seeking an experienced Collections Specialist based in Teaneck, New Jersey. This role involves working closely with the finance team and will be expected to manage several tasks related to customer credit and collections, including making professional collection calls, processing and scheduling payments, and providing cash forecasting.Responsibilities Make professional collection calls to customers with outstanding balances Explain and review invoices and statements with customers Process and schedule credit card and ACH payments Enroll customers in the company portal for easier transaction handling Send email invoices and aging balance reports to customers Provide cash forecasting to the collection manager for your assigned customer base Apply payments/credits and debit memos to customer accounts Make decisions on approving or rejecting orders and removing accounts from credit hold Create and schedule payment plans when necessary Utilize multiple systems simultaneously to multitask effectively. This role requires skills in collections, Cash Applications, and Billing. We encourage those with a strong ability to multitask and a comprehensive understanding of Excel, Word, and Outlook to apply.Requirements Must have experience in collections, billing/invoicing, and cash applications. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills High level of accuracy and attention to detail Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (Pivot Tables & VLOOKUPs preferred) Knowledge of relevant legal regulations and best practices in collections Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or related field would be advantageous.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
