We have great opportunity for a National Safety Manager – Parks and Resorts to join the NRMA Group Safety Team to lead strategic and operational safety activities across the NRMA Parks and Resorts portfolio.  This position will provide expert guidance across to support parks and resorts to manage adherence to our ISO certified safety management system ensuring we provide best practice solutions to keep our employees, members and guests safe.This is a leadership role with the opportunity to shape and promote a holistic safety culture, manage risk controls and assurance programs and deliver programs and education to promote mentally healthy workplacesA key deliverable includes the development, implementation and continuous improvement of procedures and systems to ensure compliance and best practice and based off the NRMA Group Safety Management System. The role will also undertake various project work such as the preparation of reports and submissions including tenders, planning approvals, technical reviews, external reporting and other corporate reports prepared on behalf of NRMA Parks and ResortsWhat You'll BringMinimum of 5 years' WHS, Compliance and Risk Management desirable experienceExperience in the holiday park or hospitality industry desirable but not essentialExperience in managing critical risks in relation to employee and customer safetyExperience in developing and implementing Safety management systemsApplication and knowledge of relevant WSH legislation, regulations, codes of practice & standards, risk management and compliance, particularly in relation to caravan parksInterpretation and implementation of policies, procedures, operational plans and contracts Experience in conducting workplace audits and risk managementSkilled in building stakeholder engagement and fostering relationships with operational teams and Senior LeadersHighly developed analytical and written communication skills and ability to write technical reports and corporate submissions at an executive levelExperience in developing & conducting training and induction as well as the training and motivating managers to achieve their contractual obligations in relation to WHSE and complianceMust be able to travel frequently both locally and interstateExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate and communicate effectively both verbally and in writingSound organisation skills with the ability to plan and deliver outcomes within agreed timeframesHigh level problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to prepare complex technical advice and recommendationsWhat's in it for you?At the NRMA we aren’t just about discounts (although you do get these).
