As a light-asset based specialty logistics provider we specialize in high touch and high value distribution and transportation, time-sensitive, temperature-sensitive and white glove transportation services. We are the market leader in providing transportation of pharmaceuticals for clinical trials, including comprehensive solutions for sourcing, global fulfillment and international delivery.How will you make an impactThe Logistics Specialist I will receive client shipment requests, develop a routing plan and engage with clients and vendors regarding all shipment phases, while maintaining data via Transportation Management System (TMS). Using your professional writing skills, and excellent phone techniques you keep all parties up-to-date on the delivery of life saving medications. All the while, you follow current Standard Operating Procedures, client protocols, and quality criteria in accordance with good distribution practices.What will you do
Conduct proactive carrier and final mile shipment tracking
Develop end to end transportation solutions taking into account packaging, risk mitigation and cost avoidance
Own account relationships and identify growth opportunities
Review profit and costs on shipments and ensure timely invoice to client
Ensure all information and status updates are recorded within the TMS timely
Provide essential information, timely to the client and internal staff
Support continuous improvement activities
Based on business needs, this position may require extra hours

How will you get hereEducation
High School diploma or equivalent required
Bachelors degree preferred
Experience Required
Minimum of 3 years customer service experience
Logistics experience preferred
Experience in pharmaceuticals, biotech, consulting organizations preferred
Excellent computer and oral/written communication skills
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Experience with couriers and transportation providers, particularly first and final mile
Knowledge of Transportation Management System (TMS)
Cold chain supply chain with a background in pharmaceuticals preferred
Ability to understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
