We are passionate, deliberate, and driven by our mission – to enable our customers to make the world healthier, safer, and cleaner.Within our Analytical Services team, we have a functional service provider solution, which is an outstanding partnership that allows our customers to demonstrate the experience of our staff, while allowing you, the employee, to gain direct experience working onsite at a pharmaceutical/ biopharmaceutical company, all while maintaining full-time benefits.A Day in the Life:The Material Sciences, Lab Planning and Execution (MS-LPE) group is part of the Translational Science and Diagnostics (TS/Dx) team and supports the broader Translational Medicine organization.The Translational Medicine organization integrates scientific and business insights of multiple functions to provide innovative solutions that will make precision medicine a reality for the patients and health care providers we serve.This position assists the Manager, Lab Planning and Execution and involves cross-functional collaboration with other departments within the organization, such as Facilities, Environmental Health and Safety, and Global Procurement, for the execution of its responsibilities. You will be accountable for the delivery of robust and compliant lab services in support of the Client's pipeline.The position is located in Summit, NJ and is onsite five days a week . Periodic travel to the Lawrenceville, NJ facility for related project work, on-site meetings and/or training may be necessary. Remote support of laboratories located in Cambridge, MA and Lawrenceville, NJ may also be required.Key Responsibilities:

Maintains laboratory equipment performance to quality standards; assisting with its installation, periodic maintenance, calibration, replacement, service, and repair.

Maintains laboratory physical spaces, ensuring a safe and compliant environment for lab staff; collaborating with EHS and compliance functions to ensure compliance and identify risks.

Ensures inventories and supplies are maintained to meet the needs of the lab; managing existing inventories, disposing of expired product, planning future needs, ordering, receiving, and restocking of supplies.

Assists with lab space planning and coordinates facilities work orders for any required lab setup, moves, and maintenance.

Maintains accurate and comprehensive records associated with lab operations.

Identifies opportunities and takes initiative towards the continuous improvement of lab quality.

Keys to SuccessEducation and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification

AND 2+ years of previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (or Master’s degree)

In some cases, an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Experience in GXP environment preferred

Specific experience working with diagnostics and biomarkers being used in the various stages of drug discovery and development

Ability to multitask and prioritize workday based on shifting deadlines

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and understanding of when to raise issues to management

Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to leverage in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment

Proficiency in MS Office applications, such as Outlook, Word, and Excel, to support laboratory operations, supply ordering, budgetary tracking, etc.

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Problem solving and troubleshooting abilities

Ability to work in a collaborative work environment with a team
