Electrical Helper
Position Summary:
The Electrical Helper will assist electricians in the various aspects of electrical installation, maintenance, and repair in residential and commercial settings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation of electrical systems, including wiring, conduit, fixtures, and other electrical components.
- Follow the guidance and direction of the lead electrician to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
- Help with the preparation, handling, and supply of tools and materials required for each project.
- Transport materials and equipment to and from the job site as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints and electrical schematics under the supervision of an electrician.
- Attend and participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
- Perform other assigned duties as directed by the supervising electrician to support electrical projects.
Qualifications:
-Experience as an electrical helper in residential setting 1-2 years
- Vocational school or apprenticeship program completion is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of electrical components, hand tools, and power tools.
- Strong desire to learn and develop skills in the electrical trade.
- Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with team members.
- Physical capability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.
- Basic math skills necessary for measuring and calculating materials.
- Willingness to work in various indoor and outdoor environments.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Compliance with all safety protocols and wearing PPE as required on job sites.
