Summary: The Prepress Graphic Designer is an intermediate level position responsible for creating retail advertisements for print, including digital asset management, page composition, proofing, and preparation of files for computer to plate processing.
Responsibilities:
Plan, create and design creative advertisements for our clients.
Create, organize, and maintain digital assets in our database.
Perform quality control on composed advertisements.
Complete all assigned work efficiently, accurately and on schedule.
Communicate inquiries and issues with internal and external customers.
Adhering to all company policies, including safety practices.
Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements:
High School diploma and/or equivalent experience.
Ability to demonstrate English reading, writing and arithmetic skills at the high school graduate level. High school diploma strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of macOS.
Broad working knowledge of all industry desktop applications including Adobe CC: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, & Acrobat/Distiller, MS Office: Excel, Suitcase Fusion, and FTP software.
Willingness to learn new procedures and techniques, and provide suggestions, improvements
Ability to manage tight deadlines.
Must be a team player with the ability to multi-task.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong visual design skills, with various levels of artistic creativity.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibility.
Physical Demands: This position requires continuous fine hand manipulation/grasping; frequent sitting. May have to lift no greater than 2 lbs.
