Goodwill - Warehouse Associate

BASIC FUNCTION:

Performs diverse warehouse and assembly duties within the warehouse setting. Receives daily deliveries of donated product and other contracted work. Sorts, assembles, palletizes, and wraps according to the specification of job. Loads and unloads trucks and keeps warehouse organized.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

1. Follow all Goodwill policies and safety procedures. Must possess professional etiquette.

2. Emptying rolling bins and gaylords of miscellaneous donated goods and other product.

3. Receiving of miscellaneous donated goods and product from Goodwill transportation department.

4. Performs industrial assembly functions and other assembly operations as needed.

5. Safe operation of baling machine and forklift. (each of these tasks are done, only after proper and successful training has taken place)

6. Daily cleaning and organizing the warehouse area.

7. Sorting donated goods and peripherals on to pallets and into gaylords pursuant to the sorting and packing guidelines provided to Goodwill from the receiving vendor(s)/buyer(s) of such donated goods and peripherals.

8. Sorts, assembles, and palletizes all industrial services product according to the required specifications of the job.

9. Periodic testing of some donated computer equipment and peripherals as needed and as directed.

10. Follows all company policies and safety procedures.

11. Regular attendance is required.

12. Other duties as assigned.

1. Must establish and maintain an effective working relationship with, and among, store and warehouse employees. Regular attendance, good work ethic, and the ability to work in a team setting are required.

2. Must interact cordially with donors, customers, and Goodwill employees.

3. Ability to function in a hectic work environment with occasional periods of high stress.

4. Must be able to work a flexible schedule on short notice.

5. Ability to lift and/or carry objects weighing up to 100 lbs.

6. Ability to engage in prolonged standing and walking.

7. Ability to engage in frequent bending, stooping and stretching.
