If you’re experienced in no-till organic farming and working with livestock, and you’re ready to take the lead in building a new diversified farm operation from the ground up, we want to hear from you.
About the Farm:
We are launching a small-to-mid-sized farm focused on producing a variety of fruits, vegetables, and pasture-raised livestock using organic and regenerative principles. Our goal is to build a working model of sustainable farming that serves both local families and larger markets over time. This is an exciting ground-floor opportunity to help shape the vision, layout, and operations of the entire farm.
What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience with no-till or low-till organic farming
Comfortable with raising and managing livestock (goats, chickens, cows, or pigs)
Ability to plan and lead crop rotations, soil health practices, and seasonal planting
Familiar with setting up farm infrastructure (irrigation, fencing, compost systems, etc.)
Passion for sustainable agriculture and community food systems
Independent, reliable, and ready to get hands-on
Tractor and tool operation experience is a plus
Job Responsibilities:
Work with owner to design and implement the initial farm setup
Plan and manage planting schedules for a diverse range of produce
Assist in acquiring and caring for livestock
Maintain soil health and sustainable practices using no-till methods
Help recruit and manage seasonal labor as the farm grows
Participate in marketing efforts (CSA, farmers markets, wholesale, etc.)
