Our busy dental practice is seeking a welcoming, detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for patients. The ideal candidate will handle scheduling, insurance verification, billing inquiries, and general administrative tasks while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Reception & Scheduling:
Greet and check in patients, ensuring a pleasant and organized flow in the office.
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments using practice management software.
Insurance Verification & Coordination:
Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility through phone calls or online portals.
Confirm deductibles, co-payments, and coverage details before procedures.
Communicate patient financial responsibilities clearly and handle pre-authorizations when necessary.
Payment Collection & Billing:
Present treatment cost estimates to patients and collect co-pays or other fees.
Process payments (cash, card, checks) and issue receipts.
Submit insurance claims, track claim status, and resolve billing discrepancies.
Administrative Support:
Answer phone calls and emails; address inquiries about services, pricing, and office policies.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all paperwork and consent forms are completed.
Collaborate with dentists and clinical staff to coordinate patient care.
Customer Service & Office Operations:
Manage daily office tasks such as inventory of front office supplies and cleanliness of the reception area.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a dental or medical front office setting is highly preferred.
Familiarity with dental insurance plans, billing, and scheduling software.
Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
Ability to handle multiple priorities and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
