Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation:
Prepare ingredients for pizzas, other food items, including chopping vegetables, slicing meats, and prepping toppings.
Assist in preparing sauces, dough, and other necessary components for pizzas.
Organize and maintain the kitchen station with a focus on cleanliness and safety.
Ensure all food is stored according to health and safety guidelines.
Assisting Pizza Maker:
Help the pizza maker with tasks such as stretching dough, adding toppings, and assembling pizzas.
Assist in monitoring the cooking process and removing pizzas from the oven when ready.
Keep track of pizza orders and ensure all are prepared and cooked to order.
Pizza Making:
Prepare pizzas from start to finish, including dough stretching, topping assembly, and baking.
Ensure pizzas are made to the correct specifications, maintaining quality and consistency.
Maintain a clean and organized pizza station during and after service.
Cleaning and Organization:
Regularly clean and sanitize kitchen tools, pizza ovens, and workstations.
Follow all kitchen health and safety standards.
Help with dishwashing and other kitchen duties as required.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Communicate effectively with the pizza maker and kitchen team during busy shifts.
Assist in other areas of the kitchen as needed to support the team.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation environment is required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
Strong attention to detail and passion for food.
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
Physical stamina to work in a busy kitchen.
