Cherry Hill Restaurant Seeking Experienced Catering/Outside Sales Manager!

The Catering/Outside Sales Manager will be responsible for generating, managing, and coordinating outside catering sales, office orders, and large group orders. The Catering/Outside Sales Manager will oversee all aspects of catering and group orders through contract negotiation and finalization, to group reception and event catering. The Catering/Outside Sales Manager shall maintain a consistently positive and professional relationship with all clients. He or she will handle sales and customer service issues by providing customer service; researching, resolving, and clarifying any questions; and providing appropriate suggestions regarding menu selections. Catering/Outside Sales Manager shall also be available to assist with general catering operations as needed, such as to facilitate delivery or set up.

Responsibilities

Build strong relationships by prospecting and networking with key decision markers.

Independently source, identify, and pursue outside networking opportunities through professional industry resources, community events, or special events.

Maintain an extensive client database for follow-up sales calls and contact.

Responsible for negotiating & submitting finalized catering contracts or orders.

Address all catering requirements & requests in a professional manner.

Maintain accurate records for all catering sales activities.

Communicate with Executive Chef when needed on BEO's.

Assist in the planning and coordination of catered events, as necessary.

Serve as primary contact once an order is placed; approve any changes, respond to questions or concerns.

Assist with follow-up of guests' experience, ensuring that issues are addressed.

Qualifications

2 or more years in an outside sales role, with proven track record.

Minimum 2 year related hospitality industry experience.

Ability to travel to outside sales calls and/or off-site events.

Successful experience in catering/restaurant sales generation, contract negotiation and pricing.

Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications to include Microsoft Office.
