Job Title: Restoration Manager – Fire & Water Emergency Projects

Company: National Restoration

Position Overview:

The Restoration Manager will oversee all aspects of fire and water emergency restoration projects, ensuring timely, efficient, and high-quality service delivery. This role requires management of field crews, direct client communication, project documentation, and coordination of all mitigation and remediation activities. The manager must be available for after-hours and weekend emergency response and is expected to demonstrate expertise in Xactimate and emergency invoice preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Oversight:

Manage and supervise restoration projects involving fire, water, and smoke damage from initial assessment through completion.

Coordinate and direct field crews, subcontractors, and temporary labor to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety standards are met.

Perform on-site inspections to establish scope of work, document damage, and oversee mitigation tasks.

Ensure all work adheres to company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements (EPA, OSHA, local guidelines).

Client & Stakeholder Communication:

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, insurance adjusters, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Provide timely updates, set expectations, and address concerns or questions regarding project status and timelines.

Documentation & Invoicing:

Utilize Xactimate to scope, estimate, and document all restoration work.

Prepare and submit accurate emergency invoices, ensuring all job costs and work performed are accounted for.

Maintain comprehensive project records, including moisture maps, field logs, and photographic documentation.

Scheduling & Availability:

Respond promptly to emergency calls, including after hours and weekends, as part of an on-call rotation or as needed for major events.

Coordinate job scheduling and resource allocation to minimize downtime and control overtime costs.

Team Leadership & Training:

Mentor, train, and evaluate technicians to uphold company and industry standards.

Foster a positive, safety-focused work environment and conduct regular safety meetings.

Quality Control & Compliance:

Ensure projects pass all environmental and safety clearance tests and comply with all relevant regulations.

Implement and monitor standard operating procedures for restoration activities.

Required Qualifications:

Proven experience managing fire and water restoration projects, including emergency response and mitigation.

Proficiency with Xactimate for estimating and invoicing restoration work.

Strong knowledge of restoration industry standards, equipment, and safety protocols.

Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required for emergency response.

Experience preparing and submitting emergency invoices.

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications in restoration (IICRC or equivalent).

Experience with additional restoration management software (e.g., DASH, Xactimate)

Construction background or knowledge of building materials and repair processes
