Description A client based in Secaucus, NJ is currently seeking an Inventory Analyst to join their group on a contract-basis. The Inventory Analyst will ensure accuracy of inventory levels, analyze inventory variances, support monthly close activities, participate in cycle counts, and prepare financial statements. Additional responsibilities will include reconciling perpetual inventory, analyzing cost by unit, tracking inventory trends, and researching variances. The ideal Inventory Analyst will have a minimum of 3 years' recent experience working as an Inventory Analyst or Inventory Accountant, will be proficient with SAP and Excel, and will have worked in the consumer products, retail, manufacturing, or wholesale/distribution sectors. Proficiency in Inventory Accounting is required, enabling accurate financial reporting and cost management. Strong competency in Inventory Analysis is necessary for identifying trends and making recommendations for inventory optimization. Experience with Inventory Audits is required to ensure compliance with company and legal standards. Expertise in Inventory Reconciliation is necessary to maintain accurate inventory records and resolve any discrepancies. Ability in creating and maintaining Inventory Reports is essential for providing clear and accurate data to stakeholders. Proficiency in Variance Analysis is required, enabling the identification of any differences between planned and actual inventory levels.
