Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Surgery Scheduler in our healthcare practice located in Red Bank, New Jersey, United States. This role involves managing a high volume of patient calls to schedule, re-schedule, and cancel office appointments, along with verifying and updating patient data accurately. It's a chance to join a team that maintains the highest standards of professionalism and respect when communicating with patients, staff, and management.Responsibilities: Manage a high volume of patient calls to accurately and efficiently schedule, re-schedule, and cancel office appointments according to guidelines and established protocols. Verify and update patient identity, demographics, insurance, and all other relevant data accurately. Provide effective written and verbal communication as necessary with providers and other staff in a timely manner. Respond to patient messages as necessary and follow up on online inquiries seeking appointments. Maintain accurate and complete notes/documentation as required. Optimize patient satisfaction by appropriately redirecting patient calls only when necessary. Escalate issues to the manager when necessary. Maintain accurate and complete notes/documentation in the patient's EMR. Adhere to the highest standards of professionalism and respect when communicating with patients, staff, and management at all times. Requirements Proficiency in utilizing Allscripts, Banner Ads, Cerner Technologies, EHR SYSTEM, and Medisoft Experience in handling Authorizations, Billing Functions, Clinical Trial Operations Knowledge of Insurance dealings and working with Insurance Companies Ability to manage Patient Scheduling effectively and efficiently Familiarity with the process of surgery scheduling Excellent communication and organizational skills High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems Ability to work collaboratively in a team as well as independently Strong customer service skills Experience in a medical or clinical setting, particularly in surgery scheduling, would be advantageous Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
