Description Robert Half is looking for a Revenue Accountant Consultant for a pharmaceutical client in Princeton, NJ. As a Revenue Accountant Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Finance team by leading the Brand Gross to Net function. Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing the financial close process, conducting analysis on sales data, preparing accrual entries, collaborating with key stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with GAAP. This is a consulting assignment that requires a proactive individual with a strong background in Brand gross-to-net sales analysis or Brand revenue accounting. Lead the Brand gross-to-net financial close process, including rate calculations, reserve adjustments, and financial analysis.
Analyze sales, returns, Medicaid data, Managed Care data, chargebacks, and wholesaler inventories to ensure accuracy and appropriate reserves.
Prepare and post month-end accrual entries.
Collaborate with commercial operations and other stakeholders on various aspects of Brand Revenue reporting, such as weekly and monthly sales reports.
Prepare monthly and quarterly Brand Revenue schedules to facilitate Financial Reporting.
Reconcile Brand Fee for Service invoices, coordinate approval, and issue credit memos.
Coordinate approval of Commercial invoices and assist with payment processing.
Assist with mandatory government reporting, including government pricing, as needed.
Work with external auditors to provide required schedules and support for interim and annual audits.
Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
Support efforts to improve internal controls and streamline processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting of the company's Financials
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related business discipline REQUIRED.
Minimum 2 years of experience in Brand gross-to-net sales analysis or Brand revenue accounting REQUIRED.
Excellent working knowledge of general accounting principles, practices, methods, and analysis and reporting of financial data REQUIRED.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (including excellent Excel skills) REQUIRED.
Experience using GTN software PREFERRED.
Advanced Excel Skills REQUIRED.
