Description Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for processing invoices, handling payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:Invoice Processing:

Review and verify invoices and check requests.

Sort, code, and match invoices to purchase orders and receipts.

Enter and upload invoices into the accounting system.

Payment Management:

Prepare and process electronic transfers, ACH payments, and check runs.

Monitor payment schedules and ensure timely payments to vendors.

Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.

Vendor Relations:

Maintain positive relationships with vendors through effective communication.

Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment issues promptly.

Update and maintain vendor information and files.

Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable records and files.

Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.

Prepare and maintain accounts payable reports.

Compliance and Audit:

Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.

Stay updated on relevant accounting regulations and standards.

Support Functions:

Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by the Accounts Payable Manager or Finance Manager.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Basic understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
