Description Growing distribution company in the Piscataway area has immediate need for a Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant should have an accounting degree and 4+ years of experience. Prior public accounting experience and CPA highly preferred. Responsibilities to include:

Assist in oversight of day-to-day financial management activities including general accounting, ledger maintenance, accounts receivable including billing and collections, accounts payable, fixed assets, as well as treasury and insurance functions.

Monitor and reconcile GL and financial account activities to ensure proper transactional flow and accurate recording at the GL, Balance Sheet and P& L level. Resolve discrepancies to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.

Assist in preparing and analyzing financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards and accurately reflecting the company's financial position. Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.

Support the financial planning process of Annual Budget and Quarterly Forecasts. This includes various analytical assessments of trends and spend.

Oversee the management of fixed assets, including accurate record-keeping and reporting.

Coordinate and prepare documentation for external audits, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Liaise with auditors to provide necessary support during audit procedures.

Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required Relevant certification such as ACCA or CPA is preferred Balance Sheet Reconciliation skills are necessary, must have proficiency in Account Reconciliation. Experience with Bank Reconciliations is required Should be adept at handling General Ledger Must have the ability to manage Journal Entries Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary Should be capable of handling Month End Close operations Experience with NetSuite is required Must have working knowledge of Oracle Familiarity with SAP is a mustRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
