Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in Piscataway, New Jersey. The successful candidate will join our team in the telecom industry and take on key responsibilities for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of our employee payroll.Responsibilities: Accurately process payroll for our employees using payroll software Calculate and process adjustments, such as retroactive pay, bonuses, and commissions Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues in a timely manner Assist with payroll audits and contribute to ad hoc projects as needed Use software such as PeopleSoft and Oracle Cloud to manage and organize payroll data Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of payroll tax laws and regulations across multiple states Regularly update payroll records and information as necessary Work closely with other team members to ensure an efficient payroll process. Requirements Demonstrated proficiency in payroll management Expertise in multi-state payroll processing Comprehensive knowledge of payroll taxes and relevant legislation Proficiency in using PeopleSoft for payroll processing Experience with Oracle Cloud for managing payroll data Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to maintain confidentiality of payroll information Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred Professional certification in Payroll Management is a plus.
