Position: Logistics Manager - InventoryJob Description:We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Logistics Manager - Inventory to oversee warehouse operations for a dedicated customer account. This role is responsible for inventory management, warehouse efficiency, and customer service within the assigned account, ensuring seamless order fulfillment and compliance with service level agreements (SLAs). While not responsible for the entire warehouse, the manager will oversee personnel assigned to the customer account and collaborate with broader warehouse leadership.Core Responsibilities & Duties:
Regularly perform physical inventory counts to verify the accuracy of the warehouse management system (WMS) records against the actual inventory on hand
Utilize inventory management techniques like ABC analysis and cycle counting to optimize inventory levels and reduce costs
Implement and manage processes to ensure efficient inventory flow, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods
Analyze daily product and supply levels to anticipate inventory problems and shortages
Maintaining accurate stock levels, tracking inventory movement, and forecasting demand using inventory management systems
Track performance metrics like on-time delivery rate, order accuracy, customer satisfaction, and inventory accuracy, along with operational efficiency metrics such as labor utilization and order fulfillment cycle time
Create and implement efficient processes for receiving, storing, and shipping goods
Create and manage the warehouse budget, including expenses related to staffing, equipment, maintenance, and supplies
Adhere to all relevant regulations and industry standards, including safety and quality standards
Direct and coordinate all warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping products
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements & Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, or logistics
Experience in full inventory management including cycle counts, reconciliations, adjustments, etc.
Strong proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory tracking tools
Experience leading teams in a fast-paced warehouse or logistics environment
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication skills to coordinate with customers and internal stakeholders
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Advanced experience using Excel for Data Analysis and Reporting
Experience working in third-party logistics (3PL), supply chain, or distribution environments
Certification in LEAN, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies
Knowledge of RF scanning technology and automated inventory systems
Forklift certification or previous hands-on warehouse equipment experience a plus
Ability to work a flexible schedule
