Position : Senior Financial Aid AdvisorRequisition ID: : 919-16913Lincoln Tech is seeking a Sr Financial Aid Advisor to help conduct Financial Aid appointments for students and their parents. This position will also package Financial Aid in CampusVue, conduct eligibility appointments, and communicate daily with families to ensure any necessary FA documentation is collected. This is a more advanced advisor position with advanced Title V knowledge to have the ability to provide guidance/mentoring to the FA advisor 1 and II positions.Key Qualifications
Associate degree from an accredited institution. Education may be substituted with experience in Financial Aid or Customer Service.
Excellent customer service and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Responsibilities
Conduct scheduled telephone appointments to families and providing assistance with the financial aid process
Deliver positive customer service and responses to student financial aid questions.
Provide potential students with accurate information regarding their eligibility for state and/or federal assistance or alternative financing.
Assisting student and families with determining options for balance resolution
Demonstrates full understanding of all Title IV program eligibility requirements
Assists with FA verification process and completion of all required documents in the Financial Aid file
Ability to create financial aid award package for all schools serviced in the CVUE system
Follow up on student files and communicate with campuses to ensure timely FA progress.
Answering questions regarding Financial Aid professionally, accurately and in a positive manner.
Performing diligent follow up on missing paperwork due from students
Serve as a mentor and assist with training to the FA Advisor I and FA Advisor II position
Travel to campuses to assist with orientation, special events, etc.

Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability and willingness to work evening hours and Saturdays
Preferred:
Financial Aid or Customer Service experience strongly preferred.
