Join Gilead and help create possible, together.Job DescriptionJob Title: Business Strategy Leader, Senior ManagerWill serve as a key strategic business partner within Development Operations, and Development at-large, and be immersed in strategic and operational elements, leading and driving business-critical projects and initiatives. Will be a dynamic, experienced individual with a strong track record of strategic and operational work experience and successes across a variety of settings and topics in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry. S/he must have a proven ability to effectively manage and drive complex and ambiguous projects, influence stakeholders without direct authority, effectively network across the organization, and communication with senior leaders all within a fast-paced and fluid environment.Roles & Responsibilities:

Drive, with potential ownership of, special projects and initiatives, as directed by Development or PSMO leadership

Serve as a creative voice in the organization, thinking outside of the box to uncover opportunities for performance and efficiency improvements

Support analysis of industry best practices to ensure programs, processes and initiatives are meaningful and aligned to the overall business strategy

Support DevOps in building 2-way communications with Development & PSMO

Support successful implementation of long-term, cross-functional projects

Partner with broader Chief of Staff network to ensure alignment and realize synergies

Ensure presentation success of key PSMO leaders to various stakeholders and partners

Capabilities:

Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities with high attention to detail

Strong organizational, planning and time-management skills

Ability to work well under pressure

Strong collaboration, teamwork and relationship-building skills across functions

Comfort with working in an environment of uncertainty and complexity

Ability to influence and communicate with functional team members

Requirements:

6+ years experience and a Masters degree or 8+ years experience and a Bachelor’s degree

MBA or higher degree preferred.

Functional depth in at least one of the following domains: Strategy, Consulting, Operations

Flexible, adaptable and collaborative

Self-starter who demonstrates tenacity and perseverance, working through obstacles in a determined manner

Strong emotional intelligence

Willingness to travel as needed

4+ years of growing responsibility with broad exposure to multiple functions

The salary range for this position is: $165,580.00 - $214,280.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
