Position Overview

The Raw Material Planner is responsible for supporting the raw material tracking with vendors.

This role requires a proactive and organized professional who takes ownership of his/her responsibilities and willingness to help in other areas within the organization.

Successful candidates will have a strong knowledge of and record of accomplishment in project management, problem solving, and analytics. Exposure to at least one of the following supply chain areas is highly desired: Production Planning, Scheduling, Inventory Management, or Material Management.

Primary Responsibilities

Follow up on daily and weekly raw material deliveries to prevent run outs and production shut down.
Post raw material receipts into inventory.
Determine the production plan requirements a few weeks ahead and advance or delay raw material orders accordingly.
Collect order confirmations and update PO acknowledgments in SAP on behalf of vendors.
Help to run queries out of SAP and distributing the results.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience with SAP is helpful
Proficient in MS Excel
High data accuracy
Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills required to effectively interact with vendors
Ability to work independently in managing multiple projects and initiatives to meet firm deadlines
Demonstrated proficiency in material or production planning preferred
Recognized self-starter who enjoys a fast-paced environment and seeks the challenge of winning in a rapidly changing marketplace.
