Under the direction of the Director for Clinical Skills, and in collaboration with the clinical skills team, the Clinical Skills (CS) Simulation Administrator will serve an essential role in planning, organizing and executing teaching and simulation sessions. Responsibilities include administrative and operational tasks inclusive of scheduling of the simulation center, organizing and compiling materials, setting up simulation/teaching spaces (including equipment) and effective communication with stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of sessions.ResponsibilitiesA day in the life of a Clinical Skills (CS) Simulation Administrator at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:

Oversees the planning and execution of simulation-related clinical skills activities including but not limited to:

Collaborates with the course and clerkship coordinators, faculty, and SAW to prepare for student learning activities across all phases of the curriculum.

Session-specific schedules for students and simulation faculty/staff.

Implementing supportive services, ie/ accommodated scheduling for learners as needed, in partnership with Office for Student Success.

Ordering and setting up/taking down food/refreshments as appropriate.

Set-up, trouble-shoot and operate manikins, audiovisual equipment and technology required for teaching sessions.

Assist with the day-to-day operations of the simulation-related educational programs prior to, during, and after clinical sessions.

Communicate in a positive, professional manner with faculty instructors, students, and other users of the Simulation Center.

Perform administrative duties relating to the clinical skills program for the School of Medicine.

Foster and embodies teamwork, responsibility, integrity and excellence in daily interactions and deliverables

Assist with other duties, projects or initiatives as assigned.

Develop and maintain skill sets necessary to fulfill their job responsibilities.

Other duties as assigned.

Adheres to the standards identified in the Medical Center's Organizational Competencies.

QualificationsEducation, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required :

High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.

Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.

Proficiency in computers, application software, operating systems and information technology equipment.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Exceptional written and verbal communication

Track record of working collaboratively with diverse groups to achieve complex objectives.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, think independently and problem solve, yet work within the general guidelines

Must be able to tolerate prolonged standing and walking; and lift, push at least 25 pounds

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office and Google Suite platforms.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred :

Bachelor's degree.

Experience in a healthcare related field and/or with healthcare information technologies.

Experience with Google Suite software.

Experience with Laerdal, METI, Gaumard, Simulab and other simulation systems and equipment.
