Senior Cost Manager - New Hospital Programme (NHP)

Turner & Townsend has recently been appointed as the Programme Delivery Partner (PDP) for the New Hospital Programme (NHP) by NHS England. This once-in-a-generation scheme will deliver much needed new hospitals and transform healthcare facilities to benefit patients and clinicians nationwide.This role provides individuals with opportunities to develop their knowledge, experience, and skills.Role ResponsibilitiesAssist with feasibility studies and procurement reportsEstimate and plan costs, present the final cost planManage tendering, pre-qualification, tender list, preliminaries, analysis, and reportsHandle post-contract cost variances and change controlConduct cost checks and valuations, ensuring accuracyProduce and present monthly post-contract cost reportsInput into value engineeringNegotiate and agree on final accountsInterface with clients and consultants at all project stagesLead cost management team, ensuring accountabilityIdentify new business opportunities with existing clientsAssist in producing bid documentationImprove cost management procedures, templates, and productsEnsure key information and learnings are input into the internal databaseTrack financial management using FMSIdentify and refer ideas for process improvementAssess commission management quality and efficiency
