Job description:
Dispatchers will play a central role in ensuring operational success and maintaining the culture and vision of the company. This position requires strong communication skills, superb attention to detail, and a proactive approach to solving problems. This person will aid in resolving operational exceptions and will communicate directly with the company’s customer, notifying them of any situation that will impact their operation.
Responsibilities
Monitor the route and status of drivers to coordinate and prioritize their schedule
Receive calls and accurately record significant information
Verbally communicate with truck drivers all necessary information
Communicating all day to day updates
Follow company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations
Collaborate with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any order or delivery discrepancies
Must have the ability to demonstrate follow-through on all assignments.
Qualifications
Previous customer service experience
Computer aided dispatching
Schedule coordination
Problem solving skills
Time management
Strong prioritization skills
Bilingual a plus
Ability to work nights and weekends
Knowledge of supply chain processes, freight, shipping, and receiving is a plus
