We have recently partnered with an established mechanical contractor seeking an experience Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician to join their team as a full-time employee. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across a variety of commercial environments. Key Responsibilities:
Perform seasonal maintenance on commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
Respond to, Diagnose and repair or replace defective components such as pumps, valves (pneumatic and electric), heat transfer units, and ventilation systems.
Calibrate thermostats and ensure consistent, safe temperatures in controlled environments.
Test and repair electrical circuits, pipe joints, and tubing for leaks using pressure gauges and other tools.
Service and maintain walk-in coolers and freezers to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, specifications, and manuals.
Evaluate energy usage of HVAC/R systems and recommend efficiency improvements as part of our energy management strategy.
Required Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited HVAC training program.
5 to 7 years of hands-on experience troubleshooting commercial HVAC systems.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Must be a self-starter who is comfortable working outside of their comfort zone.
Professional appearance and demeanor — must represent company with integrity on all job sites.
Experience with Lennox and LeVert systems
Preferred Experience:
Familiarity with competitors such as ICS, ICC, Hughes and Reiner, and Air Group is a plus.
Work Environment:
Must be able to work in varying weather and building conditions.
Occasional after-hours or emergency service may be required.
Pay Rate: $25-35/hr based on experience
