Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Refrigeration Installer & Technician who is proficient
in copper refrigeration piping and VRV/VRF systems. The ideal candidate will have a deep
understanding of system layout, piping practices, and refrigerant commissioning processes.
Responsibilities:
Install, braze, solder, and propress copper refrigeration piping to manufacturer
standards
Install and tie in refrigerant branch boxes, line sets, and ball valves
Interpret mechanical drawings, riser diagrams, and manufacturer installation manuals
Work with a variety of VRV/VRF systems including Daikin, LG, Mitsubishi, and Fujitsu
Properly pressure test systems and perform deep vacuum pulls with digital gauges
Install isolation ball valves, access fittings, insulation, and pipe supports
Leak test systems with nitrogen and trace refrigerant
Set dip switches and basic commissioning for VRF systems (a plus)
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the job site and work van
Work professionally with project managers, foremen, and other trades on site
Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations
Keep accurate records of refrigerant use (EPA compliance) and job documentation
Qualifications:
Minimum 3–5 years of refrigeration piping experience (commercial HVAC preferred)
Solid experience with brazing, soldering, and mechanical pipe fitting (propress)
Familiarity with multiple VRV/VRF systems (Daikin, Mitsubishi, Fujitsu, LG)
Ability to read and understand blueprints and piping schematics
Experience with pressure testing and deep vacuum procedures
EPA 608 Certification (Type II or Universal required)
OSHA 10 (OSHA 30 is a plus)
Clean driver's license and reliable transportation
Tools of the trade (gauges, torches, vacuum pump, hand tools, etc.)
Preferred Skills (Not Required but a Plus):
VRF/VRV system startup and commissioning
Experience with digital manifold gauges and micron gauges
Daikin, Mitsubishi, or LG VRF certification
Sheet metal experience a plus
Controls integration familiarity
