Little Joe & John's Barbershop is a small business in Glen Rock, NJ. We are engaging, customer-centric, professional and our goal is to provide the best and upmost customer care in the barber space. Aside from providing a great haircut experience, we strive to make it a memorable experience for our clients through an inclusive experience.
We are seeking a skilled Barber/Stylist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in a variety of hair and beauty services, providing exceptional customer service while staying up to date with current industry trends.
- Perform haircuts, styling, and grooming services for clients of all ages and hair types
- Provide beard trims, shaves, and facial grooming using straight razors
- Demonstrate proficiency in retail math for product sales and inventory management
- Utilize upselling techniques to enhance client experience and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area
Skills:
- Proficiency in straight razor techniques for precise cuts and shaves
- Familiarity with retail math to manage product sales effectively
- Ability to upsell services and products to enhance the client experience
- Strong customer service skills, communication skills, and teamwork skills to provide a welcoming and professional environment
Tips and commission are given to barbers as compensation. The commission provided is highly competitive but that will be discussed with the shop owner at the interview.
Flexible hours, but we are looking for full-time and part-time barbers; preferably full-time. The days we need will be discussed at the interview with the owner.
Station is provided and barbers are working alongside a great team and clientele. The barber should have a car (preferred) if they need to travel to get the shop, but the owner sometimes can bring the barbers to the shop and back home.
We prefer the barber has at least 3 years of experience.
