The Owner is former military and law enforcement. The Staff gain their firsthand experience while previously employed in various management positions at various security companies in the tri state area and by qualifying themselves and attending various security management training programs, seminars, colleges, and universities. JOB DESCRIPTION
Adirondacks Protection Services is hiring Security Officers to perform duties at a residential building. The Security officers will be responsible for maintaining the overall safety and security of the building including life and property. They will use different tactics to prevent loss, theft, damage, and vandalism of buildings. They will conduct routine patrol of the building on foot and observe all unusual activities. They will maintain records of who enters and leaves the building and prevent access from any unauthorized person. They will use CCTV to monitor the building from the front desk. They will keep track of signing visitors in and out of the building and monitor all incoming deliveries.
Security officers will assist with providing guests with information and directions. They will also protect the property and its inhabitants from the risk of fire and other safety violations. They will respond to emergency situations, and they will communicate with the super or emergency personnel and they will handling all physical threats by restraining offenders.
They will maintain parking regulations and ensure parking lot is secure. They must be aware and alert at all times.
AVAILABLE SCHEDULE
1. Dispatcher A -Thursdays 0600 hrs. – 1800 hrs. = 12 hrs. + Saturday 12 hrs. + Sundays 12hrs = 36 Hrs.
2. Security Officer One - Thursdays 0600 hrs. – 1800 hrs. = 12 hrs. + Saturday 12 hrs. +Sundays 12hrs = 36 Hrs.
3. Security Officer Two - Thursdays 0600 hrs. – 1800 hrs. = 12 hrs. + Saturday 12 hrs. + Sundays 12hrs = 36 Hrs.
4. Dispatcher B – Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays – 0600 hrs. to 1800 hrs. = 36 Hrs.
5. Security Officer One - Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays – 0600 hrs. to 1800 hrs. = 36 Hrs.
6. Security Officer Two - Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays – 0600 hrs. to 1800 hrs. = 36 Hrs.
7. Dispatcher B – Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays - 0600 hrs. to 1800 hrs. = 36 Hrs.
8. Security Officer One - Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays - 0600 hrs. to 1800 hrs. = 36 Hrs.
9. Security Officer Two - Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays - 0600 hrs. to 1800 hrs. = 36 Hrs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Report for duty as scheduled
Provide High Visibility in Company uniform.
Greet incoming guests and tenants,
Maintain the safety, security, and control of the building always
Provide access control to the building by verifying identity
Prevent Access of Unauthorized Persons
Use CCTV system to monitor the building for any suspicious activities
Respond to alarms and emergency situations.
Protect Property from Lost and Vandalism
Maintain a Safe and Secure Work Environment
Conduct Routine Patrols with Guard Metrics
Enforce Company Policy and De-escalate all unwarranted Events
Execute all written and verbal instructions.
Alert management of anything suspicious
Notify emergency services, if necessary
Provide information as requested by guests and visitors.
Maintain radio communication with team members.
QUALIFICATIONS
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English
Previous experience in security
Physically fit to carry out the job responsibilities
Able to work as scheduled.
Must pass a background check.
Excellent report writing skills
