Job Summary:
We are seeking multiple Part-Time Visual Inspectors to join our pharmaceutical quality control team. This role involves the manual inspection of ophthalmic drug vials to ensure they meet strict quality and regulatory standards. The inspector will examine vials for particulate matter, defects, and contamination, following GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform visual inspection of filled ophthalmic vials for defects, contamination, cracks, and particulate matter.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and adhere to FDA and GMP regulations.
Document inspection results accurately and timely in batch records or electronic systems.
Operate and maintain inspection equipment as required.
Maintain a clean and sterile work environment to prevent contamination.
Collaborate with Quality Control (QC) and Manufacturing teams to report and escalate defects.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Skills:
Previous experience in visual inspection within a pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device setting preferred.
Familiarity with GMP, FDA, and quality control standards is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and ability to detect minor defects or irregularities.
Ability to work evening shifts and sit/stand for extended periods.
Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
Ability to work in a controlled, sterile environment with appropriate PPE.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
Requires good vision (corrective lenses allowed) for detailed inspections.
Ability to sit/stand for extended periods and perform repetitive hand motions.
Work in a cleanroom environment with strict hygiene requirements.
May involve handling vials with sterile gloves and lab coats.
