Qualifications
Must have experience in a Machine shop- manufacturing QC environment, including in process, inspecting, assembly inspections.
Experience with AS9100.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and Machine shop environment.
Must have knowledge of how to properly use handheld measurement tools to include decimal and fraction readings.
CMM knowledge a must.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Responsibilities
The Quality Inspector ensures that manufactured products meet the established quality standards and specifications
This role involves inspecting raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods to identify defects or deviations from customer or company requirements.
The inspector will document findings, communicate with production teams, and recommend corrective actions as needed
Fabrication shop environment with exposure to noise, heavy machinery, and various materials
Standing for extended periods, and working in a fast-paced production setting
Conduct visual, dimensional, and mechanical inspections of raw materials, in-process, and finished products to ensure adherence to drawings, specifications, and quality standards
Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical manuals to verify compliance of products
Use various inspection equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine), to perform accurate measurements
Maintain detailed records of inspection results, including non-conformance reports (NCR), inspection checklists, and daily logs
Work closely with production supervisors, machine operators, and engineering teams to identify and resolve quality issues
Ensure that products comply with internal, customer, and regulatory standards
Work with Quality, Environmental, H&S employees to ensure and maintain compliance with safety, operational, and regulatory standards of Quality
Has the obligation to be aware of and comply with environmental, safety policies and regulations and always endures duties of high-quality standards
