Title: Line Operator - Production

Reports To: Production Manager
Line Operator Position, Purpose and Objectives
The Line Operators are Responsible for the overall operation of the production line assigned to (including raw material & packaging components, personnel, and documentation).
Essential Job Functions
Line Operators Must follow all GMP’s and relevant SOPs.
Must be aware of the relevance and importance of their individual activities in contributing to Poptime’s commitment to food safety.
Responsible for all matters pertaining to the set-up of production line.
Performs line release functions during start-up in operations.
Make sure the proper components are staged by the production line at all times.
Maintains on-line monitoring of finished products; i.e. weight checks, label checks, lot & exp dating, during packaging operations.
Line Operators assign personnel to their work positions as required on a daily basis.
Continuously training, monitors, and support production line throughout the shift.
Fill out the GSN packaging batch record in a clean, timely, and accurate fashion.
Responsible for providing accurate reconciliation information (received, returned, and wasted components) to the production coordinators.
Responsible for the safety and cleanliness of production line.
Train and monitor line personnel in performance of their duties.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
The Line Operator must be able to apply the information contained in the product specification to the operation.
Problem solving skills.
Maintain quality, and safety standards.
Be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
Supervisory Responsibility
Assigning line workers and monitoring quality and productivity.
Working Conditions
Decision making environment, Strong Interaction with Management and Quality.
Minimum Qualifications
High school or equivalent; some college a plus.
Production line operation experience.
Must have adequate verbal communication, math, and reading skills.
Have ability to train and lead production line.

Work Schedule:
Shift schedule – e.g., Monday to Friday, 3:30 PM – 12 AM
Overtime may be required based on business needs.
