This is a remote W-2 employee position – NOT 1099. The work can be done at ANY time (day or night) but often requires a brief phone conversation before starting a new project. There are also occasional face-to-face meetings in Bergen County (roughly four times a year).

This is a part-time position and we're estimating approximately 3-5 hours a week. Making it ideal for as an added part of your weekly work. The ideal candidate should know how to create exciting content that will help our potential clients stay in touch and engaged with us.

The position will be responsible for maintaining accurate, unique, interesting, and relevant social media content. You will develop and execute ORGANIC social media strategies across all social platforms creating compelling messaging that encourages engagement, drives traffic, and increases awareness. If your common solution to building an audience is buying ad space, this will probably not be an appropriate fit.

Time management skills are crucial as well as excellent attention-to-detail, and strong organizational and communication skills. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter with a “can-do” attitude.

Responsibilities:

Serves as community manager for our social media by monitoring all feeds, responding to and/or routing inquiries to the appropriate internal team, and facilitating conversations with our audiences to build relationships and enhance the sense of community, including social media influencer management.

Manage social media editorial calendar process including review requests, develop calendar, create engaging and compelling content (including copy and visuals) that follow brand guidelines and voice, as well as scheduling content in any publishing tools.

Communicate and respond to all social media inquiries and posts and engagements.

Manage our 3rd Party Delivery platforms, keeping them current and up to date.

Have a solid knowledge and understanding of the Tech industry and how we can use new technology to improve our digital footprint.

Experience:

Experience building and growing social media communities.

Understanding of all social media platforms and tech apps, including but not limited to YouTube, Instagram, Facebook.

Strong writing, editing and communication skills, including understanding the nuances of writing for the different social media platforms.

Ability to work independently, set priorities and meet deadlines, and adhere to brand identity and editorial standards.

Understanding of owned and paid media. THIS MEANS AN IN-DEPTH COMPREHENSION OF ROI – if you are unable to provide ROI metrics or are missing a comprehensive grasp of the importance of this topic, this probably is not a match.

Starting hourly rate ranges from $28-$34/hour based on experience. We offer performance reviews every 90 days. THIS IS A PERMANENT PART-TIME POSITION. You should be focused, passionate about technology (in general). If you have less than 15 years of overall workplace experience (not necessarily social media), it will not be a fit.
