We are seeking an experienced Personal Injury Paralegal to join our team and provide critical support in managing a dynamic caseload.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys with all aspects of personal injury cases from intake through resolution, including litigation and trial preparation.
Draft and file legal documents such as complaints, discovery responses, motions, and settlement demands.
Gather, analyze, and organize medical records, bills, and other evidence to support claims.
Coordinate and schedule depositions, independent medical examinations (IMEs), and court appearances.
Conduct legal research and draft case summaries, demand letters, and correspondence.
Communicate with clients, medical providers, insurance companies, and opposing counsel.
Maintain case files and track deadlines to ensure timely and efficient case progression.
Assist with trial preparation, including assembling exhibits and trial binders.
Manage lien resolutions and assist in settlement negotiations.
Qualifications & Skills:
3-5 years of experience as a personal injury paralegal (plaintiff or defense).
Strong understanding of New Jersey court procedures, litigation processes, and discovery rules.
Proficiency in case management software (Neos experience preferred).
Exceptional writing, research, and communication skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Experience handling medical record reviews, lien negotiations, and settlement calculations is a plus.
Paralegal certification or relevant degree preferred but not required.
