Immediate Opening for full-time position at a general practice law firm with significant focus on personal injury/worker’s compensation, real estate, matrimonial, criminal defense/municipal court, wills/estates and transactional matters seeking paralegal and/or legal secretary. Must have a good work ethic, be detailed oriented, highly-organized and possess the ability to multi-task. Excellent opportunity for quick learners and motivated self-starters.

Responsibilities include: Greet and receive clients and visitors receive and return telephone calls handle incoming and outgoing mail/email schedule and manage calendar perform initial intake of potential clients prepare legal documents and correspondence E-Court filing scanning and preparation of documents abilityto manage residential and commercial real estate closing files and document preparation from beginning to end including ability to prepare Closing Statement/HUD/CD and handle many due diligence, pre-closing, closing and post-closing materials ability to manage transactional and business closings from beginning to end ability to manage matrimonial files from beginning to end including preparing and filing Case Information Statement (CIS) managing pre-litigation and litigation cases of various subject matters managing attorney’s meetings with clients and scheduling of depositions and client’s appointments entering and monitoring case filing deadlines establishing and maintaining client files ability to prepare, edit, file and compose legal, corporate and/or transactional documents, including but not limited to, letters, memoranda, pleadings, motions, discovery, agreements, subpoenas and other legal documents as required by the practice area ability to assist with preparation of wills and estates providing other administrative support to one or more attorneys.

Qualifications: Candidates with 5+ years of experience working in a litigation and/or transactional Law Firm with knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred English/Spanish Bilingual preferred possess good organizational, communication, and case management skills full-time position working Monday through Friday (9am-5pm) in-person presence at office required competitive salary commensurate with qualifications some benefits such as paid time-off but no medical offered.
