Boutique business law and litigation firm with headquarters in Montclair, New Jersey, is seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized, and quick-learning Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a few years of experience in legal support roles, with a strong preference for those familiar with e-filing procedures in state and federal courts. Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys in preparing and filing legal documents through eCourts in New Jersey and New York.
Manage and organize case files, ensuring all documents are accurately filed and easily accessible.
Draft and proofread legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
Coordinate and schedule court appearances, depositions, and meetings.
Maintain and update case management systems with relevant information and deadlines.
Communicate effectively with clients, courts, and opposing counsel.
Provide general administrative support to attorneys and staff as needed.
Requirements:
2-3 years of experience in a business litigation paralegal role is highly preferred.
Familiarity with e-filing procedures in New Jersey and New York state and federal courts.
Exceptional organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Flawless written and verbal communication skills in English.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook; familiarity with PowerPoint and Excel is a plus.
Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate preferred; candidates with excellent academic credentials and a strong desire to learn will also be considered.
