About the Position:
Our immigration office is seeking a responsible, detail-oriented, and motivated individual to join our team as a part-time Legal Assistant. This entry-level position is ideal for someone interested in immigration services, legal support work, or public service. There is opportunity for the role to transition into full-time based on performance and office needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with preparing and organizing immigration applications, supporting documents, and client files
Maintain case tracking systems and ensure documentation is complete and up-to-date
Schedule client appointments and help manage the office calendar
Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients by phone, email, and in person
Perform general administrative tasks, including scanning, data entry, and filing
Support the office’s social media efforts, including helping draft and schedule content under guidance
Qualifications:
Bilingual (English and Spanish) strongly preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy
Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
Willingness to learn, take initiative, and contribute to a team environment
Prior experience in an office or customer service setting is helpful but not required
