Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Skid Steer Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy equipment to assist in the day-to-day operations of our nursery. This position offers 40+ hours per week with the opportunity for overtime, providing a stable and rewarding career in the horticulture industry.
Responsibilities:
Operate skid steer loaders and other heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
Transport, load, and unload plant material using the skid steer.
Assist with various tasks around the nursery, including but not limited to, moving plants, loading trucks, and general maintenance.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Occasionally lift heavy plant material as needed.
Qualifications:
Prior experience operating skid steer loaders or similar heavy equipment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Physical stamina to lift heavy objects and perform repetitive tasks.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime when necessary.
