A Jersey City-based development/property management company is seeking a knowledgeable and hands-on HVAC Technician to join our in-house maintenance team. This role focuses on repairs and maintenance of HVAC equipment for residential and commercial properties throughout Jersey City.
Job Responsibilities:
✅ Perform repairs and maintenance on various HVAC systems
✅ Maintain and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) units for residential and commercial properties
✅ Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of HVAC systems
✅ Troubleshoot and identify service issues, obtain replacement parts, and calibrate systems to manufacturer specifications
✅ Communicate findings, issues, and necessary repairs to the supervisor clearly and professionally
✅ Accurately document all equipment repairs, including make, model, serial number, test measurements, and photos
✅ Identify and report preventative maintenance opportunities and any deficiencies
Requirements:
️ EPA Certification
️ 2+ years of HVAC experience (residential and commercial)
️ Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record
️ Own a set of tools
️ Clean background
️ Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
️ Excellent communication skills
️ Ability to learn and use property management software for tracking maintenance tasks (currently using Yardi software for purchase orders and work orders)
️ Weekend & evening availability if scheduled or as needed for emergencies
️ Ability to represent the company professionally at all times
️ Spanish knowledge is a plus
